Susie was born, and has lived her entire life in Odon, Indiana.  She retired after 40 years of Civil Service to the Department of Defense.  She was a Program Analyst, managing multi-million dollar annual budgets for first the Department of the Navy and later the Department of the Army.

She is currently serving her second term as a member of the Odon Town Council, having served twice as the President.  She is a board member of the Southern Indiana Development Commission and the Military Alliance of Southern Indiana.  She is the Right Worthy Associate Grand Conductress of the General Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Grand Matron of Indiana where she serves on the Jurisprudence Committee and is the Grand Chapter Session Liaison.
