Lon is a life resident of Delaware, Ohio and a sixth generation Lowry in Delaware County. After graduating from Frank B. Willis High School, he began a work career with a large manufacturing company.
He joined the United States Navy and served at the U.S. Naval Station in Guantanamo Cuba, and then on a ship in the Mediterranean Sea as a Petty Officer. On completing his Naval Service, and returning to America, he furthered his education at “The Ohio State University”.
Lon returned to his previous place of employment, Parker Hannifin (International), where he met the love of his life, Barbara. He retired after 40 years of service from the Accounting Departing.
He is a Past Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of Ohio (2011 – 2012) and a 33rd Degree AASR Mason.
