Jo L. Cullifer is a native of Columbus, Georgia. She was educated in the public schools in Columbus and attended Columbus Tech and Columbus College. She was married to Henry E. Cullifer, now deceased, and they have two sons.

The family are members of Midland United Methodist Church and previously Jo served as Church Treasurer.

She is owner of Famous Brand Uniforms, Inc. and G & J Outfitters in Columbus, Georgia and was named outstanding Business Woman of Columbus by the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).

She has served in many Civic and Fraternal Clubs to include,  Jayceettes, Exchangettes, Miss Georgia Pageant, Southern Open Golf Tournament, Order of Rainbow for Girls, PTA,

Boy Scouts, Little League Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball Boards, Columbus High Athletic Booster Club. Jo also served as an Election Poll Manager and Assistant Manager of Election Consolidation for Muscogee County, Georgia.

Jo is a member of Columbus Eastern Star Chapter in Columbus, Georgia, and a Past Grand Matron and Grand Treasurer Emeritus of the Grand Chapter of Georgia. She is presently serving as Chairman of the Board of Right Worthy Grand Trustees of the General Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
