Arthur is a Native Texan, and currently lives in Flower Mound, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Floriculture and received an MS in Park and Leisure Services Management from the University of North Texas. For 28 years, he worked in various aspects of the horticultural field primarily as a sports turfgrass consultant. Karl was offered an opportunity to enter the Financial Services industry in 2003. He affiliated with Mutual of Omaha and Mutual of Omaha Investment Services in January 2006. He has his Series 6, 63 and 65 Licenses and earned his FSS and LUTCF designations from The American College.

His Masonic career started at the age of 14 when he was initiated into Albert Pike Chapter, Order of DeMolay in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. He was raised a Master Mason in Richardson Lodge #1214 in April of 1983. He served as Worshipful Master in 1988-89. He is also a member of the Dallas Scottish Rite and Hella Shrine.

He was initiated into Dal-Clif Chapter #574 Order of the Eastern Star, Dallas, TX. in October 1988, and he has plural memberships in Lewisville Chapter #574, Lewisville, TX. and Sunrise #60 in Bullhead City, AZ. He served as Worthy Grand Patron of Texas in 2010 and as Chairman of the Support First Responders Committee of the General Grand Chapter (2015-18). Currently, he is serving on the Board of Right Worthy Grand Trustees.

Arthur and his wife, Marty, recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. They have two grown children, three granddaughters, and two great grandchildren.
